| Stop farting buddy cos you're ruining the environment! |
One of the more ingenious lies of the 21st Century is the one that goes: mankind is responsible for global warming / climate change. Because of this we must all cut down on our carbon emissions. Those that don't must face punishment through being fined.
I won't go into the reasons why it is farcical in this article (another nicely worded piece will be unveiled in the near future to do just that), but I will comment on the photograph above that tickled me whilst travelling on a train to Norwich only last week. Maybe a similar poster could be erected in hospitals stating: 'let the sick die because it will reduce humanity's carbon footprint.' Or perhaps at ante-natal classes we could have the more gruesome: 'don't have your child-to-be increase your carbon emission, do what' right for the environment.'
The last time looked I wasn't the owner of a huge, polluting factory, pumping out more carbon emissions than a small country so why does my electricity bill have a climate change levy??? Where is a good healthy dose of capitalist competition to remove this crap from the electricity companies through undercutting one another?
Give it up to Al Gore and the Club of Rome, they really have conned an awful lot of people this time around...
