Anti-Syrian Propaganda in Full Flight

Why is Assad being targeted now?

The current media focus on the evil Syrian regime is carefully orchestrated by the imperialist world leaders who are desperate to bring down the current Syrian government.

Bassma Kodmani attended the recent Bilderberg meeting and put forth the standpoint that Syria must fall. Kodmani is a representative of the Syrian National Council and works for the Ford Foundation, which is a recruitment ground for imperialist operatives.

Itamar Rabinovich, the former Israeli ambassador to the USA has stated the following as reported by the Times of Israel:

'The real block [on Syrian intervention], he told Army Radio, is the US government. “The Obama administration is not looking for another major Middle East crisis before November.”

Asked therefore whether Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, despite her bitter rhetoric against Damascus, did not actually intend to take any action now, Rabinovich said, “Later, after November.”

With the Gaddafi regime of Libya toppled by NATO and US and British forces, Muburak removed from Egypt and several other countries in the Middle East thrown into turmoil by so-called 'opposition forces' in their own country, the way is being cleared for an attack on Syria.

If we recall George W Bush's speech after 9/11, one of the 'axis of evil' regimes was Syria. Now we have Obama following the same agenda set for Bush. The reason for this is that the destabilisation of the Middle East is central to the plans of the Anglo-American imperialist powers. Syria is but a stepping stone to the achievement of this goal.

Back in November 2011, Alain Juppe, the French foreign minister, suggested the creation of 'humanitarian zones' being deployed in Syria to 'protect civilians.' The same tactic used to invade and destroy Libya is being deployed again. The Arab League has also turned on Assad, the leader of Syria.

In February 2012, our own dear dictator, David Cameron announced that 'we need to take all the action we can' to 'get rid of this brutal dictator.' Not sure which dictator he means, but if it is Assad that is quite a hypocritical statement.

Considering that Cameron and his cronies have completely fleeced the British public over the Olympics 2012 scam, whereby the initial estimate to host the Olympics would be £2 billion and it actually cost £15 billion, as well as the use of force to suppress the rioters in 2011, it is very rich to start talking about dictators' in foreign countries. Also, if we are so concerned about 'brutal dictators' why did the Queen invite so many of these people to her self-indulgent Diamond Jubilee? Britain has kept supporting the Bahrain monarchy in suppressing their own people throughout the whole bullshit crusade against Assad.

The Assad government enjoys 55% support from the population, which is considerably higher than the 39% support enjoyed by the supreme Etonian overlord Cameron and his slugbait cabinet. In order for the Tories to get in power they had to power share with the Liberals, which suggests that the Tories are no democratically elected. They are more discredited than the Assad regime.

British troops were sent to Syria by our dear war mongering leader to direct ammunition deliveries and tactical support to armed terrorist groups in Syria. Perhaps Assad could do the same by arming and assisting the real IRA in the cause to kick British imperialist troops out of Northern Ireland, which is a colony of Britain. But that would be considered as military intervention by a new 'Hitler' and so on.

Israel airplanes are smuggling weapons into Syria via Iraq, with financial assistance from Qatar. In conjunction with the arms smuggling is the training for 'al-Qaeda' militants by the USA and UK.
stephen Lendman stated the following concerning Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's claims:
'[Lavrov] is talking mainly about Washington. There is no question this is a Washington-orchestrated war. It is a low-level war to the extent that NATO has not gotten directly involved. But it is exactly what happened in Libya last year. An insurgency began; Washington orchestrated it; insurgents were recruited; they were funded; they were armed; they were US special forces, British special forces, CIA, MI6, Qatari special forces. They are in Syria now; they are directing these massacres, these killings. They are funding, they are training; they are picking targets; they are leading these dead squad games to places like Houla [and] Takiba. They are picking up who to slaughter. They go after pro-Assad loyalists.'

Furthermore, on May 25, 108 people, including 49 children and 34 women, were killed in the town of Houla, located in the central province of Homs and about 32 kilometers (20 miles) northwest of the provincial capital city of Homs.

Some Western governments blame Damascus for the Houla massacre, but the results of a Syrian government investigation into the deadly incident showed on May 31 that anti-Damascus armed groups had carried out the killings to “bring foreign military intervention against the country in any form and way.”

Given the modus operandi of the USA and UK concerning regime change, they always start with a media war against the regime they want to topple. This blazes all of the while in conjunction with US and UK backed 'rebel forces' stage attacks on the government forces. No other country would just sit back and let this happen, so they would deploy security forces to suppress the insurgency. Yet when a country who is not conducive to Western imperialist interests does this they are considered as completely bloodthirsty dictators. From this point onwards massacres that the government may or may not have committed are blamed on the government and more and more excuses are fabricated to discredit the regime. War fever is whipped up and lies such as WMD are invented to ensure the public in USA and UK are geared up to hate the country in question. The call for military intervention is then drummed up louder and louder.

It happens every single time. Syria is no different. Houla is the latest atrocity to make the world hate Syria. But was it really carried out by the Assad regime or was it actually carried out by the death squads armed and trained by the US and UK, to deliberately tarnish the Assad regime?
We only have to look back to things like the sinking of the Maine, the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the burning of the Reichstag, 9/11 and the London Bombings and we have plenty of examples of outside powers causing genocide in order to either intensify a war or start a war against another country.
So we are witnessing the attempted regime change of Syria, which will probably take place in September or November 2012, depending on the source you choose to believe.
