Austerity At The Olympics: Each “Gold” Medal Contains 1.34% Gold

As every Olympic athlete knows, size matters. The London 2012 medals are the largest ever in terms of both weight and diameter – almost double the medals from Beijing. However, just as equally well-known is that quality beats quantity and that is where the current global austerity, coin-clipping, devaluation-fest begins. The 2012 gold is 92.5 percent silver, 6.16 copper and… 1.34 percent gold, with IOC rules specifying that it must contain 550 grams of high-quality silver and a whopping 6 grams of gold. The resulting medallion is worth about $500. For the silver medal, the gold is replaced with more copper, for a $260 bill of materials. The bronze medal is 97 percent copper, 2.5 percent zinc and 0.5 percent tin. Valued at about $3, you might be able to trade one for a bag of chips in Olympic park if you skip the fish.

Though Olympic gold is no longer 100 percent gold, a medal can still fetch big money. In 2010, a gold medal worn by Mark Wells, a member of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” U.S. men’s hockey team, was auctioned off for $310,700. Several years before that, Wells had sold his medal to cover medical expenses. Just before the auction, the medal was valued at $100,000 but it earned three times that amount. Heritage Auctions of Dallas identified the 2010 buyer as a rancher from the western U.S.

The question remains – with the minimum 103 medals expected to be won by US athletes, will Bernanke be forced to reduce the size of NEW QE as ‘all that precious metal is horded and repatriated back to the USA’?

London Olympics: 1,200 More Troops, Enough to Continue Games in “Just About Any Scenario”

With only 48 hours notice, it was announced Wednesday 1,200 more troops were told they would be protecting the Olympic games this year in what British Prime Minister David Cameron has now dubbed the “biggest security operation” ever attempted in the United Kingdom’s peacetime history. Event organizers LOCOG noted the additional soldiers will allow the games to continue “in just about any scenario”.

An additional 1,000 soldiers have been placed on standby which, if called in, would bring this year’s Olympic security total to roughly 19,200 — a number equal to the entire armed forces of the West African country of Guinea. U.S. intelligence and British security officials have co-established a threat integration center to analyze potential Olympics threat data. Other security measures include drafted U.S. TSA agents, body scanners, an LRAD sound cannon, fighter jets, drones, battleships, and surface-to-air missiles planted on nearby apartment building rooftops (despite tenant objection). Britain’s National Health Service is spending £900,000 to have an additional 50 ambulances from four private firms responding on the streets of London each day of the games.

All told, the 2012 Olympics comes with a price tag of approximately $14.5 billion. What “scenario” could possibly occur amidst a security operation of this caliber and cost short of an actual war?

The months leading up to the Olympics certainly have been a curious time. The BBC put out a documentary pushing the premise that UFOs may invade London during the games. Israel officials relayed fears Irani terrorists might attempt an “anniversary attack” on Israeli athletes. Acclaimed director Ben Fellows infiltrated the contracted Olympics security company G4S and broke intelligence of plans to evacuate London, including a cache of 200,000 casket liners on reserve.

Fellows is not the only one to mention a potential false flag at this year’s games by far. Raising tensions further, Iran threatened to boycott the Olympics last year, citing that the “2012” in the logo spells out “Zion,” a reference country officials claimed was to Jerusalem. It has also been noted by many that the Olympic mascots Wenlock and Mandeville — cartoonish cyclopean creatures — have been likened to illuminist “all seeing eye” symbolism, and the official Olympics website claims each giant eyeball is actually a camera that allows these mascots to “record everything”. As previously reported by Infowars.com, a multitude of YouTube videos, including a 15-minute presentation suggesting propaganda holds the key that the New World Order may stage a bio-terror attack, abound.

Whether or not another 9/11-style event may take place, as British General Sir Nick Parker suggested had already been extensively planned for, the message from the heart of a completely militarized London hosting this year’s games is clear: the powers that be prefer to rule with absolute fear. What we are living in now is beyond any police state that ever existed in the deepest, darkest recesses of George Orwell’s mind.

Let the games begin.

Report: Al-Qaida planning to crash U.S. airline during London Olympics

The al-Qaida branch in the Arabian Peninsula is believed to be planning a terror attack during the Olympic Games in London, scheduled to begin at the end of the month. According to a report in today’s Sunday Times, quoting intelligence services, the organization has recruited a Norwegian Muslim convert who was supposed to hijack a U.S. passenger plane and crash it on a suicide mission. It is not clear though that the attack targeted one of the Olympic venues, despite the timing.

Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has been involved in a number of attempts to carry out high-profile attacks on Western targets.

Jonathan Evans, head of MI5, Britain’s domestic security service, said in a rare public address last week that “the games are not an easy target, and the fact that we have disrupted multiple terrorist plots here and abroad in recent years demonstrates that the UK as a whole is not an easy target.” Despite the successes in foiling terror attacks, Evans warned that “in back rooms and in cars on the streets of this country there is no shortage of individuals talking about wanting to mount terrorist attacks here,” and spoke of the threat of Western Muslim citizens who have been radicalized and trained in camps in countries such as Yemen and Sudan, traveling back to the West to carry out attacks.

According to the sources quoted in The Sunday Times, a Norwegian citizen in his mid-30s and who names himself Abu Abdulrahman converted to Islam in 2008 and has in recent months been undergoing training at AQAP bases in Yemen. There have been a number of reports over the last few months of Western citizens who joined al-Qaida and are involved in its operations in Yemen against the local Western-backed security forces.

Whistleblower Reveals Plan To Evacuate London During Olympics

200,000 casket linings on standby says undercover journalist who infiltrated security team

An undercover journalist going by the pseudonym ‘Lee Hazledean’ has blown the whistle on astounding revelations about how he infiltrated the G4S – the company responsible for security at the London Olympics – and discovered shocking plans for the evacuation of London, 200,000 ‘casket linings’ being on standby, along with botched security procedures that leave the Games wide open to attack.

Hazledean’s interview with Tony Gosling, Bilderberg.org editor and host of BCFM’s Friday Drivetime, has gone viral on the web over the last few days. Hazledean is an undercover journalist for a television program in London and has worked with news agencies on hard-hitting subjects, but when he approached the mainstream media with his bombshell story, they showed no interest.

When Hazledean asked Channel 4 News Home Affairs Correspondent Andy Davies if he would run the story, Davies said he wasn’t interested and days later Channel 4 ran a puff piece about G4S which portrayed the organization as competent and trustworthy.

“I sent him an email, I called, he wasn’t interested and he said there’s a media blackout on this kind of story, that nobody would be interested in running it,” said Hazledean.

In the interview, Hazledean divulges how he merely had to fill in an application form to get a job with G4S, the private company providing security for the Olympics, that he underwent no background check whatsoever, and that his personal references were not checked.

Employees are given just two days of training to run airport-style security checkpoints which include body scanners, which Hazledean said “would be turned off completely” at peak times, meaning terrorists could just walk straight into the event with ammunition or explosives and have an excellent chance of remaining undetected.

“In fact, I was asked to be a would-be terrorist on the final training day and I was given a knife, a gun and an IED, and on all three occasions throughout the day I got through the metal detector and I also got through the x-ray machine scanner,” said Hazledean, adding that terrorists could quite easily stage a “massacre” given the lax nature of the security.

“They’re not training them properly…it’s quite open to a terrorist attack very easily and I don’t say that lightly,” said Hazledean, adding that he witnessed G4S members doing drug deals while training classes were taking place, while others were taking surveillance photos on their cellphones of supposedly secure areas. Hazledean said a lot of the security staff were poorly qualified and that many of them could barely speak English.

Hazledean also revealed how the large contingent of soldiers being brought into London for the Olympic Games included “a lot of UN troops being posted in and around London,” including American and German troops.

The whistleblower also revealed how unauthorized personnel were being handed G4S uniforms and that uniforms had been stolen.

Hazledean’s most chilling revelation was how he learned about preparations to evacuate London and how, “The security guards used for the Olympics will be at the forefront of getting the public out of London.”

“They seem quite serious about it, they’ve spent a lot of time on this,” said Hazledean, noting how G4S spent two hours talking about the evacuation of London in comparison to just half an hour talking about security screening procedures for the Olympics itself.

The whistleblower also noted how the 100,000 plus troops that would be stationed in London during the Olympics would be enough to carry out such a large scale evacuation.

Another chilling facet Hazledean learned was that 200,000 casket linings (temporary coffins) were being shipped in to London that can hold four bodies each. The whistleblower expressed his amazement at why security guards working on mundane screening procedures would need to be told such information.

The whistleblower also revealed how he was told Predator drones would be circling London in readiness for terrorist attacks, and that G4S employees were shown a video of a drone killing a group of people in Afghanistan.

Hazledean noted how G4S leaders saw the public as “the scum of the earth” and also told their employees that the police had no authority over them. He also related how one of the leaders told him that an event after the Olympics would be a “defining moment” for London but when pressed, refused to divulge what she meant.

Hazledean is not the first to blow the whistle on G4S. Earlier this month, data input clerk Sarah Hubble revealed that she was fired by G4S after complaining that G4S was cutting corners in their security preparations for the Olympics and that she herself had not been vetted.

Speaking with Infowars, Hazledean said that he had been making contingency plans for if his life was put in danger or if he became a target for the authorities in any other way after blowing the whistle on the scandal.

Asked about a meme circulating the web that conspiracy theories about a false flag attack occurring at the London Olympics are being deliberately allowed to proliferate in order to make ‘truthers’ look paranoid after nothing happens, Hazledean stressed that merely getting the story out was necessary as it could derail any planned attack.

For London Olympics, Britain calls up the military

To maintain security in the world’s latest hot spot, Britain is deploying spy planes, helicopters with snipers and the biggest warship in the Royal Navy’s fleet. Up to 13,500 ground troops will be backed by more than 20,000 private guards. State-of-the-art radar systems and a carpet of security cameras will provide 24-hour surveillance.

Luckily, the theater of operation is up close and personal.

Let the London Games begin.

The massive military mobilization, which critics contend is overkill, is a key component of the extraordinary security precautions the British government is taking to keep the 2012 Summer Olympics safe.

Symbols of the Unconscious 3: The Torch

An Eternal Flame

The symbol of the torch or the flame, is in the consciousness again with the Olympics taking place in London. But what exactly does the flame symbolise?

It can be seen as representing the possession of knowledge, the illumination of the person who holds the torch. We go back in time to the myth of Prometheus who handed humanity the knowledge of creating fire. The torch represents that knowledge.

After John F Kennedy was assassinated, an obelisk with a flame on top was erected on the Dealey Plaza. At Arlington Cemetery, over Kennedy's grave, an eternal flame was lit, which still burns to this day.

After Princess Diana was assassinated, a golden flame was erected over the Pont de L'Alma tunnel where she died.

At ground zero of the World Trade Centre after the mass murder of 9/11 took place, an 'eternal flame' was lit.

In Rockefeller Center, the Rockefellers erected a huge golden statue of Prometheus holding the lit torch. This symbol is found on the DIA seal, Indiana's seal, the American dime, CBN, the National Front, and more.

The Statue of Liberty has Queen Semiramis or Isis depending upon your taste, holding aloft the torch. This same symbol is the Columbia pictures and records logo.

Some people consider this to be symbolic of Lucifer, the light bearer or light bringer. They then go into a funk of apoplexy, foaming at the mouth about brimstone and hellfire, and the devil and satan and so on. But to listen to these Christians and be suckered into their phony morality, is to close our eyes to what is happening. There is no dichotomy between Christians and Satanists. Why? Because Christianity is a slave religion made by the same people who are the so-called Satanists.

A false dichotomy was created over the course of history in order to victimise the peasant masses and force them to accept Catholicism and to bow down to their superiors. It was designed to destroy their pagan roots for the very reason that the Church wanted to have absolute control over the population: mentally, spiritually and physically. Much in the same way the current ruling elite are trying to do this now by pushing for a microchipped and barcoded population. Because such technology was not at their disposal in the past, they needed to create a climate of fear, one that sank deep into the psyche of the common man, so he would even censor his thoughts. If you can't even think about rebelling then you are never going to rebel. That was the purpose then and is now.

So the concept of Lucifer was in reality taken from the pagan religion of the masses and perverted by the Catholic Church. Rather than being the bringer of light, which is a good thing, Lucifer became an evil figure opposed to God. Lucifer was Satan, the arrogant creature, the fallen angel, expelled from heaven.

Considering that Lucifer is said to stand for knowledge, then the lesson is quite clear: the masses must not seek intelligence, or the facts, because these are now evil and heretical. The ignorant masses must just 'believe' and have 'faith'. The fairy tale of the tree of knowledge is linked to this anti-intelligence pushed by the Catholic Church: Adam and Eve fell from grace because they questioned 'God's' will and became intelligent and capable of thinking from themselves.

When you look at it, the whole concept of Catholicism and all brands of Christianity are purely the manner in which the ruling class over the centuries strove to justify their oppression of the masses and also to control any dissent. The more stupid and more suggestible a person is makes it far easier for a ruling elite to control that person's impulses. If you have your own mind, your own spirituality, your own capacity for logic and action, you are a threat to the ruling elite.

The flame symbolises the ruling elite's intelligence and knowledge, at the expense of the unenlightened masses. They have made it this way. They have perverted the religions of the masses. They have perverted the myths of humanity. Instead of being knowledge for everyone, they have murdered, maimed, pillaged and raped their way through history, suppressing this knowledge, and keeping it locked away for themselves. It is a sickly self-indulgence going on for far, far, far too long.

When they place their eternal flame and torch symbols everywhere, they are saying to you: 'Behold our intelligence! You are so stupid you do not even realise! More to the point you are too stupid to ever realise!' It is a shout of triumph. It is the glorying in your supreme ignorance.

To place the eternal flames over President Kennedy's grave and Princess Diana's death spot, is for the ruling elite to say: 'Their deaths were orchestrated by us.' The symbol is of their own illumination against our darkness.

By turning Lucifer, the light bearer, the illuminated one, into a so-called enemy of humanity, into an evil one, is their greatest triumph. Because, by doing so has made intelligent, but God-fearing people, shy away from seeking the truth, the light of illumination.

Think about it: the ruling elite see themselves as enlightened, illuminated. Why do we not strive to become enlightened and illuminated? Why are we satisfied to be kept in the dark? Why are we not pushing for the truth for all of humanity?

Because the symbol is so deeply ingrained in our psyches.

Lucifer is symbolic of intelligence. It is not an evil creature, it is not this fraudulent creation of the Catholic Church, known as the 'devil'. The pagan god Pan is what the Catholic Church saw as their enemy because it was the people's god and they did not believe in the myth of Christ and the desert God 'Yahweh'. Therefore, the Church warped Pan into the 'devil', the anti-christ, the scourge of all humanity. This was done in a typical, over the top manner by the power-obsessed Church hierarchy.
The illuminati revered 'Lucifer' and the anti-new world order protesters start channeling their thoughts into Christianity. They are of course wrong. Lucifer just stands for knowledge, it is symbolic of the thirst for knowledge and their is nothing 'evil' about searching for knowledge. It is bringing things to light. The light of the world. To be informed is a good thing because it means you can make your own choices and you can reject the ruling class. If you want.

That is what the symbol of the eternal flame and the torch is really about. Until you search you will not find.

Olympic Game Idea 1: Fleece the poor

With the coming of the 2012 Olympic Games just around the corner we look at the new game ideas considered for introduction this year.

The continual devastation of the economy has produced some excellent ideas destined to enter the global cultural lexicon. One brilliant idea is currently being touted behind the scenes of the Olympic Games and it aims to take more money out of circulation and into the coffers of the very rich.

It is a very entertaining and simple game: Olympic fraud.

For the poor, needy and vulnerable in our society there will be a special tax introduced called the Olympic tax. Although it is clearly illegal and has never been officially introduced by the state, it will be the task of a crack team of Olympians to action. This team will only consist of Olympians who failed to qualify for the Games in their chosen speciality. So all manner of below par athletes will make themselves and their fellow Olympians a nice tidy profit out of the poor.

Although there is no official tax value set in stone, the failed Olympians will harass, badger, intimidate, insult and cajole their way through the population hoping to earn upwards of £1000 per person for the Olympic tax.

It remains to be seen just who will earn the most money defrauding the population but our money is on the more violent sportsmen out there. According to some sources even the dear Lord Seb Coe, underwriter of Tory hell for the population, is itching to get involved. After making a colossal fortune as a lord it has given him a real taster for the most important thing on earth: lots of money. Now it looks as if he can't wait to make his mark. Some say he has already hired several heavies from his past such as Fatima Whitbread, Geoff Capes and Daly Thompson, as well as creating a special uniform for them with his face planted on the back of their jackets. If true, then his take on the specially non-lawful tax will also bear his moniker: the Seb Coe Charity Tax. A clever way of further defrauding the public.

A spokesperson for the poor of Britain has allegedly said: 'We can't wait for the failed athletes to knock on our doors demanding payment for the Olympic Tax. It is something we have all been looking forward to for a long time. We've had enough of the cut backs by the Tories because it's money we shouldn't have anyway. This new tax is perfect because it allows us to pay our debt back to society and also help pay for the Olympic Games that we will not be allowed anywhere near to watch. All in all it is a win win situation.'

Further comments drawn from our sources at homeless shelters across Britain effusively gushed about this wonderful new Olympic game idea:
'It's really innovative and exciting. It gives us on the streets a real chance at becoming involved with the great Olympic Games. Although they won't be able to extract too much money from us because we are homeless I have heard that a new game idea has sprung up to tackle this problem and make some money. They're planning on taking the filthiest of us and getting us drunk and then sending us into middle class homes to wreck them and run away. Once this has happened they will turn up and offer their services to fix the affected properties and make some money. For some of the homeless they are planning on beating us senseless, filming the action and selling it online. My heart swells with pride at the thought they've put into this.'

So there you have it. A great new idea for the Olympic Games and also a couple of new reality TV shows in the mix: Olympic Tax Offenders, Homeless People Wreck Your Home and Live Fight Tonight: Homeless People v Failed Olympians.

The viewing figures are likely to go through the roof.
